Ashley Greene is no slouch when it comes to maintaining her enviable figure. And just hearing about her regimen is enough to make anyone feel exhausted. The actress, who’s 29 and found fame as Alice Cullen in Twilight, poses for the April cover of Shape magazine and reveals her personal mantra is: ‘Be fit and fierce, but never, ever sacrifice your fun.’

Fun for the brunette beauty includes climbing 4,000 feet three times a week on a VersaClimber at her personal trainer’s studio, takes a kickboxing class twice a week and lifting weights. ‘To fit my workout into my day, I have to be out the door early. That means I don’t have time to think about whether I’m tired or to come up with excuses,’ she told the publication. ‘And I’ve found that when I exercise in the morning, I have a much more productive day. After I finish my workout, I feel as if I can conquer the world.’
Greene also finds time to go hiking with her four dogs and surfing and, she says, she plans to learn to parasail. ‘Getting outdoors is so refreshing to me,’ she said. ‘It’s a combination of the exercise, soaking up my surroundings, and clearing my mind.’ She also makes sure to stick to a diet of fish, chicken and vegetables, with the occasional treat such as a glass of red wine with a piece of dark chocolate or grits. ‘Eating keeps my metabolism cranking,’ she explained. ‘These foods energize me for my workouts.’
Greene also finds time for good works too. She volunteers with nonprofit organization A21 that seeks to raise awareness of issues of human trafficking. She told Shape she plans plans to take part in A21’s annual Walk for Freedom in October. ‘It’s easier to help than you think,’ she said. ‘Just bringing an issue to light is important. Every single person can make a difference.’
