Born in Tokyo on Halloween, Samaire lived in Japan with her parents for the first few years of her life before moving to Hawaii, and later, to Arizona. Growing up in Arizona, Samaire took part in many school plays, but it wasn’t until she was part-way through high school that she turned her attention to acting. Before that, she’d focused her attention on playing volleyball.

Samaire’s biggest break definitely came when she joined the cast of The O.C. as new girl, Anna Stern, straight from Pittsburgh. For a while, it seemed like Samaire’s character would wind up with Adam Brody’s character, Seth, but after 14 episodes, Anna left Orange County for good – or so we thought. Season three sees Anna return for a few episodes, just to stir up a little drama! During her break from the southern Californian teen drama, Samaire played the part of Emily on the HBO comedy, Entourage, for several episodes. In 2006, you can look forward to Samaire’s move to the big screen – she’s starring in two flicks,Stay Alive and Just My Luck.
