DeMunn made his film debut in 1980, and is best known for his frequent collaborations with director Frank Daramont. He appeared in all of his films to date: The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption, The Majestic and The Mist. Jeffrey DeMunn graduated with an English degree from Union College. He trained at the Old Vic in England in the 1970s, and returned to the United States to appear in several stage productions; he notably won a Drama Desk Award for the 1978 play A Prayer for My Daughter. He played at the AMC series, The Walking Dead. DeMunn also recurred in the NBC series Law & Order, and earned an Emmy nomination for his role in the HBO television movie Citizen X. He has appeared in such films as “The Blob” (1988), “The X-Files: Fight the Future” (1998), “Hollywoodland” (2006), “Burn After Reading” (2008) and such television shows as “Hill Street Blues” (1981), “Kojak: The Price of Justice” (1987) and many more.
