Claire Holt (born Claire Rhiannon Holt) is an Australian actress and model. She is best known for her roles as Emma Gilbert on the television show H2O: Just Add Water, Chastity Meyer on Mean Girls 2, and Rebekah Mikaelson on The CW series The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off series The Originals. Claire was botn in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia as Claire Rhiannon Holt. She is the daughter of John Holt and Ann Holt, and two sisters (Madeline and Rachel) and a brother (David). She graduated from Stuarholme School in Toowong in 2005. She is involved in several sports: swimming, volleyball, water polo, and Tae-Kwon-Do. When she was younger, she was in the school choir. In 2006, Holt won the role of Emma Gilbert in the Network Ten children’s television series H2O: Just Add Water.
Claire moved to Los Angeles to pursue career and has been living there for seven years now. She is currently starring in Aquarius with David Duchovny and has a movie with Mandy Moore on the way. She is in a relationship with Matt Kaplan and the couple announced their engagement in 2015.
