Tim Bergling, commonly known as the EDM star Avicii has announced that he’s quitting touring from now on. Tim Bergling is a Swedish from Stockholm, Sweden and is currently 26 years old. He began his music career in 2007, when he signed a contract with the Dejfitts Plays label. When Avicii released his album “Levels” in 2011, he started gaining popularity not just in Northern America, but also all over the world.

Seems like life is going pretty good for Avicii… until he wrote a long, heartfelt letter through his website and Facebook. Want to know more? check out the letter below.

After thanking several friends, partners, colleagues and most especially, his fans, Tim explained that he needs some time to step away from touring and the limelight. Initially, he began his letter with:

“Thank you for letting me fulfil so many of my dreams. I will be forever grateful to have experienced and accomplished all that I have with the help of the team around me and my beloved fans.”

He also thanked the people he have worked with by saying:

“Thank you to all artists, musicians and songwriters who have helped me develop musically and personally, the list is long but there is no one I’ve worked with where I haven’t learnt something.”

Avicii further continued with:

“I’ve come to know myself better and realize that there’s so much I want to do with my life. I have strong interests in different areas but there’s so little time to explore them.”

Seems like Tim realized something is missing from his life when he took some time off and took a road-trip with his friends. He says that he started seeing things in a different way and that he needed to change.  Whatever that is, we’ll probably never know, but good for him for doing things for his own good!

Tim then explained that “I will however never let go of music – I will continue to speak to my fans through it, but I’ve decided this 2016 run will be my last tour and last shows. Let’s make them go out with a bang! One part of me can never say never, I could be back …but I won’t be right back.”

After his long letter, it’s been clear that Avicii will stop touring for a while, but will still continue making music. Currently, he’s on his way to perform for his last concert in Dubai and in Bahrain.

Missing Tim? Don’t worry! Tim left his new phone number (+46769436383) where you can contact him, yep it’s legit, but expect that he won’t be able to reply quickly.
