Last month, The Wendy Williams Show host revealed she lost 50 pounds on her after show, and shared her get fit tips with viewers. She attributed her healthy lifestyle to “lots of cardio” and “Pilates,” plus, a meat-free diet.
When a fan wrote in for diet advice, Williams said she’s cut meat, refined sugars and dairy from her diet. She does, though, miss eating eggs. “I don’t love food as much as I used to,” said Williams, adding she doesn’t eat after dark. Maintaining her size isn’t all about eating healthy — it comes with required gym time too.
“I go to the gym because it’s not about me trying to lose weight at this point, it’s about me fighting heart disease,” said the 51-year-old. “Everybody needs to race their heart, at least once a week.”(Wendy Williams Workout and Diet Plan)
Williams does “a lot of cardio” and also Pilates because it “involves laying down and relaxing,” she quipped, also noting she underwent liposuction and a tummy tuck more than 20 years ago. “I can’t say that that has made me lose weight because I already lost 50 lbs. in three years, which I find to be amazing. Because, of all the crazy diets I’ve been on, none have ever been as effective as [saying to myself], ‘Just push back, fatso. Just stop eating so much,’” she shared. “And I don’t love food as much as I used to,” added Williams, who dropped refined sugars, dairy and eating after dark and “picked up on other great habits like juicing.”

She added she had also cut out extra sauces, revealing: ‘tuna fish doesn’t need so much miracle whip and extra cheese. Wendy said dairy is out, but she is not a big fan of hemp milk and she misses eggs. Her diet revamp has also made her a fan of juicing – she eats lots of kale, which she mixes with apples when she gets bored of it. She eats kale chips instead of potato chips and ditched her favourite San Pellegrino for coconut water saying: ‘Now it feels weird to have bubbles on my tongue.’

Her new diet also consists of a lot of tomatoes, a lot of green peppers a lot of onions. She also likes to have ‘wheat pasta in the red sauce.’ Her tip to those wanting to lose weight is: ‘slow and steady is the name of the game, it won’t happen overnight.’
Williams admitted to being on a diet her whole life, but she’s found the most success now because she’s learned to take her time.
