Melissa Suzanne McBride is actress and former casting director, best known for her role as Carol Peletier on the AMC series The Walking Dead. McBride has garnered critical acclaim and received multiple awards and nominations for her role on the show. She began her acting career as a guest star in minor roles on television series, and in supporting roles in made-for-television films, before becoming a casting director. She has showed her acting ability in a number of movies. She is mostly noted for her work in TV shows and movies like The Mist, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, American Gothic, Profiler, Walker, Texas Ranger and Dawson’s Creek. In 2008 she was featured in a short-length movie Living Proof. Besides acting, she is also a commercial casting director. She worked as a film and commercial casting director in Atlanta, Georgia from 2000 to 2010.
