Country singer Miranda Lambert recently went from a size 8 to a size 6 and lost an incredible amount of weight in a short time. Miranda Lambert was stuck at a size 8 for several years but recently decided to make several healthy lifestyle changes. She showed up at the Country Music Awards with a lean and toned body looking fiercer than ever.
Hubby Blake Shelton told reports that Miranda has been a big inspiration and says that he made a few healthy changes to his lifestyle to help push Miranda and be a good influence.
Believe it or not Miranda Lambert did not give up all her vices during her weight loss transformation. For one Miranda is an absolute fanatic of Cheetos and decided that she liked them too much to give them up on her diet.
Miranda says she “likes to live” and that she wont give up her favorite things even when on a diet. This shows that you don’t have to torture yourself even when dieting and if you make a few healthy lifestyle changes you can still enjoy your favorite vices – cause we all have them!
Since Miranda knew that she didn’t want to eliminate Cheetos from her diet she decided to eliminate bread and all gluten. Since eliminating gluten and bread from her diet her energy levels have sky rocketed and she has more energy to go to the gym.
Miranda’s Weight Loss Secret Revealed!
Miranda has a very intense work schedule as a star singer and that meant she had very minimal time to hit the gym for workouts. This changed when her energy levels went through the roof about 2 weeks after eliminating bread and gluten.
The usual turkey and cheese sandwich was replaced with delicious organic spring salads topped with mandarin oranges and fresh chicken breast. Miranda’s favorite salad during her diet was the oriental chicken salad made with a low calorie sesame ginger dressing.
Miranda says that she actually started craving these salads about an hour after breakfast and will never go back to the sandwich and fries lunch lifestyle. Miranda says that salads give you tremendous versatility when on a diet as there are hundreds of different combinations you can choose from between the greens, protein choices and all the low calorie salad dressings.
When at home Miranda would shop at Whole foods and always have a supply of low calorie salad dressings on hand so she could whip up a salad quickly. Miranda does not enjoy vegetables by themselves unless they are in a salad with a dressing she likes or by themselves with ranch or cheese. Since salads are much healthier and more filling this was her go to meal during her amazing weight loss transformation.
Another healthy switch that Miranda made in her diet was instead of drinking coffee first thing in the morning she switched to a vegetable packed juice. This veggie packed juice was filled with tons of vitamins to pack her body full of energy boosting nutrients.
Miranda says that this switch alone helped transform her health and appearance. By switching from her usual coffee and high calorie breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon and toast for a nutrient packed veggie juice she was able to stave off late morning cravings and reduce her daily calories.
Most importantly she was putting the healthiest food in the world in her body 1st thing in the morning. Her vegetable drinks would contain a medley of fresh veggies such as kale, spinach, cucumber, broccoli, beets, and apple to sweeten the drink.
Miranda is not a huge fan of working out so she had to incorporate clever ways to get her cardio in. Miranda jogs occasionally and works out with a trainer but will sometimes trick herself when she feels burnt out on typical cardio.
Miranda will go horseback riding or take a walk in the woods with Hubby Blake as these are activities that she really enjoys and it doesn’t feel like exercise. Miranda says that doing cardio related activities that she truly enjoyed helped her to stay motivated and do something active on days that she did not want to.
Miranda is not a big fan of taking any kind of supplements AT ALL. She lost the weight by working hard. Not cutting corners.
Miranda says that she tried the pill for a few weeks and fell in love with the increase of energy and reduced appetite. Most importantly this pill was all natural so Miranda did not feel like she was putting stimulants or harmful pills into her body.
Miranda was able to go from a size 8 to a size 6 simply by making a few healthy lifestyle changes which allowed her to still consume her 2 favorite vices (Cheetos and Vodka).
